Marrie Helendale

Born for the 2nd time in 2008. First time was 29 years ago :).

As she always been attracted by computers, her career in RL was no mystery for anyone. Studied computer science for 10 years and worked as a system administrator for another 5.

Her hobby in first and second life is photography. But before she discovered the secrets of the digital image manipulation, she worked in SL as a club hostess and manager, she was a Dj, she contributed from behind the curtains, as an executive, to fashion shows production and experienced a little on the journalism side with writing an article about her country.

“SL has changed my life a lot, helped me discover myself and the world through it’s inhabitants. I have made friends, few but whom I treasure. SL also played a big role into developing my skills.”

Marrie is also a volunteer photographer for IVK in SL, which she has discovered due to her SL sister, Anneli.

“Kids are our future and we have to do the best we can to assure them a happy life. What can be more enchanting than hearing a child’s laugh?”

Nowdays she is more offline because of her job as an IT Consultant, which keeps her busy. She is a lucky person though, cause she combines work with pleasure. Part of her work relates to her hobby, meaning she is a web and print designer as well. Still she finds the time to meet her old friends from sl whom she is very happy to spend time with.
